What is Trauma-Informed Reiki?
Reiki (Ray-Kee) is a Japanese technique for relaxation and healing. It uses spiritually guided universal life force energy that flows through the practitioner. Reiki treats the whole person including mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Using trauma-informed hand placements and techniques ensures the person receiving healing comfortable and open to Reiki energy. Reiki is not a religion and therefore can be used on anyone, with any beliefs.
What is Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki?
Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki is a form of Reiki that was created by William Lee Rand in 2014. Since then it has undergone two upgrades. It is more refined then previous modalities and comes from a higher consciousness. It is also the most common form of Reiki practiced in the West. There are over a hundred modalities of Reiki and more are always being created. Once a practitioner is placed with Reiki energy, they adapt the teachings to suit their needs and style. Practitioners and Masters can receive inner guidance to create new modalities and techniques, which makes Reiki a constantly evolving form of energy healing.
How does it work?
“Ki” or life force energy is the non-physical energy that animates and lives within all living things. In Reiki, it is believed that the flow of Ki within the body and organs is what determines the health of a person. If Ki flows well, one is healthy, and if Ki is blocked or disrupted then adverse effects will occur. Since our body and mind are so closely linked, negative thoughts and feelings can also create disruptions in our Ki and aura (subtle energy field extending outside the body). Reiki heals and cleanses the energy of disruptions and blockages to promote well-being.
The mind, body, and spirit are parts of a whole. To heal one part means to heal the others.
The Session
Before Treatment
Energy cleansing when entering the space using smoke, sound or other methods.
Fill out consent and information form (Applicable only for the first session).
Pre-treatment consultation to assess general well-being and targeted areas of concerns.
During Treatment
You will be laying or sitting comfortably on a massage table or chair. You will remain fully clothed during the entire session.
A full body energy scan to reveal stuck energy and blockages.
Healing of the aura to enhance hand placement healing.
Depending on the session, targeted or general healing of the body with trauma-informed hand placements.
A protective auric seal to keep the Reiki energy inside and shield from unwanted energies.
After Treatment
Slow re-integration and time to sit with your feelings.
You will be offered water and/or tea to help ground you.
Post-treatment consultation to note feelings, emotions, and sensations that occurred during treatment.
